Chassis Description
The Star chassis is a strong, proven design with well-mannered handling characteristics. Its predictable feedback makes it an easy car to drive, inspiring confidence for novices and pros alike. Double wishbone and rocker arm suspension members are attached to the chassis with shear plates. This ensures relatively quick and easy damage repairs, often accomplished in the pits between track sessions
Engine Description
It's no secret that the key to the Star Formula Mazda's affordability is the low maintenance engine. The legendary Mazda 13B rotary not only produces an effortless 185hp, but also does so with bulletproof reliability. It is not unusual for the dyno-tested, sealed and rev-limited motors to remain in cars for three seasons without a rebuild. Compare the maintenance costs of a Formula Mazda engine to that of any other class and you'll realize why they've remained so popular.
Driver Size
Many drivers are concerned that they may not fit into a formula racecar. Well, think again! The Formula Mazda racecar comes in a standard size and a tall man size. Even with the standard size car, the Formula Mazda accommodates drivers 6’4” and around 215lbs.
